
1604 was the year when King James I authorized the start of a new bible translation. It was known as the Authorized King James Version when it was published in 1611 by the Church of England.
This version had quickly became the sole English translation that were used by the English-speaking Protestants by the 18th Century.
Today, the King James Version had passed out of copyright and is now available freely to be reproduced as it is found and have its place in the public domain.
